In the 2018 World Green Building Trends report, almost half of global survey respondents said they expect to construct more than 60 percent of their projects as green buildings by 2021. Green construction encourages savings of energy, electricity, and water, saving up to 30 percent on energy consumption compared with traditional buildings. At the core of green construction is the advanced technology that facilitates it.

We’re excited to announce our latest open innovation partnership with Tidhar Group, a leading Israeli real estate developer, that will support their efforts on sustainability, green construction, green energy, robotics, and automation.

As part of the partnership, SOSA will accompany Tidhar to diagnose the company’s future needs, helping it construct a tailored innovation program to go green and uniquely deliver within the green construction market. Tidhar is preparing to invest $10 million over the next two years toward integrating startups and advanced technologies into the group’s operations.

Through the program, SOSA will monitor and present the most advanced and relevant technologies for Tidhar in the various fields of real estate, including green construction, green energy, solar power, and water system monitoring. Through the involvement of innovation managers and employees from within various departments of the company, SOSA and Tidhar will integrate new technologies into future Tidhar projects. For carefully selected startups, this will be an opportunity for a significant business foothold in the real estate industry, alongside cooperation with one of the Israeli leaders in the field. Prior to the presentation, SOSA's team of analysts and innovation managers will work with select startups to tailor their solutions to fit Tidhar’s innovation vision and needs.

To date, Tidhar has built 15,500 housing units, involving 1.8-million square meters of commercial real estate and 130,000 square meters of international properties, as well as over 400 urban renewal projects. Recently, the Tidhar Group recruited Naor Caspi, an influential part of the Israeli Ministry of Defense’s innovation division. Naor serves as the group’s director of innovation and leads the broadest and most comprehensive innovation program in the real estate industry.
