Our commitment to open innovation and our search for the best dual-use technologies has driven exciting initiatives, utilizing open innovation programs, impactful accelerators, and the establishment of global innovation hubs.
HLS & Defense Open Innovation Programs
Our Open Innovation Programs this year were developed in collaboration with industry leaders such as Leonardo, Elta-IAI, Rafael, HTX - Singapore's Home Team Science and Technology Agency among others. We are committed to bridging the gap between defense and civilian technologies to address the unique needs of HLS & defense organizations.

HLS & Defense Accelerators
The HLS & Defense Accelerators have also played a key role in driving innovation. In collaboration with the Israeli Defense Ministry (IMOD), Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX), and the Israeli Security Agency (Shabak), we have identified and nurtured cutting-edge startups. In our effort to find the best dual-use technologies, we evaluated over 400 startups and developed over 20 proof-of-concepts (POCs) with the most promising ones resulting in the implementation of innovative solutions into existing government operations, and facilitating new product development and investment in promising technologies.
The Hatch:
In May 2023, HTX proudly introduced The Hatch, a cutting-edge innovation center in Singapore in partnership with Sosa. The Hatch offers startups a unique opportunity to collaborate with Singapore Home Team departments, validating their technologies and propelling them into cutting-edge solutions. As a key partner, SOSA provides startups with a special chance to tap into our industry expertise and extensive connections, accelerating their product and business development. since its inception till date, there are 2 cohorts, 170 applications, 20 challenge statements and 11 grants awarded
SOSA HLS has built its success story on an ecosystem that ripples with innovation across the supply and demand spectrum. As the only entity that is centralized in responding to security innovation, serving governmental needs, and engaging startups, we have distinguished ourselves as a leader in security innovation. SOSA HLS' journey continues to shape HLS & defense and navigate towards a safer, more secure world with its transformative ideas and global partnerships.
