The SOSA Innofense challenge: where innovation meets defense
The SOSA-Innofense Accelerator is a unique dual-use tech program designed to bridge the civilian and security world. The program supports the development process for the unique security needs and challenges of MoD and the IDF.

The program will accelerate innovative ideas and support them in POCs and real-world implementations, allowing participants to work hand in hand with MoD’s design partners.

The Accelerator program is located in Tel Aviv.
What you'll get
Put your technology to the test
Selected startups will have the opportunity to implement their solutions in real-world scenarios with Israel’s Ministry of Defense & the IDF.
Get a ₪200,000
non-equity funding
The program will provide the startups with a non-equity grant of ₪200,000 to lay the groundwork for transition into the security sector.
Gain access to a global network
Participants will receive guidance, mentorship and support from the SOSA HLS team, as well as access to SOSA’s network of investors, multinational corporations and industry leaders.
Work from the heart of the ecosystem
Selected startups will receive a six-month entry to the SOSA Space. You’ll be working at the core of it all, one step away from your next business opportunity.  
Get the business tools you need
Participating startups will receive legal, business, accounting and marketing mentoring. SOSA’s innovation experts will map out participant’s needs and devise a financial plan built to achieve milestones.
Develop commercially and technologically
Innofense participants will be exposed to potential investors and relevant industries in order to assist their commercial and technological development.

Localization, navigation, and mapping
- Innovative solution mimicking animal navigation mechanisms for precise localization in GNSS-denied environments

- SAR-based processing layer for mapping and analyzing underwater topography

- Edge-based GIS data processing algorithms for change detection and low-bandwidth transmission
Human Performance and Cognitive Technologies
- Gen AI solutions that combine qualitative and quantitative data for actionable insights

- A solution to identify anomalies in behavioral assessments

- Automated generation of dynamic assessment games for role suitability evaluation

- Advanced cognitive training solutions for pilots and mission operators
Drone and UAV technologies
- Automatic or semi-automatic folding solutions for small UAV parachutes

- Solutions to improve existing drone platforms’ endurance performance using add-on components

- Lightweight continuous power solutions for tethered drones
Satellite and space technologies
- Techniques to enhance data download rates from GEO satellites

- Low-cost, lightweight optoelectronic (SWaP-C) capability for continuous, high-resolution coverage of wide areas from the air/ground

- Quantum network management system

- Space Domain Awareness capabilities – proximity alert for objects approaching satellites

- Observation, detection and tracking of sub-pixel targets from space to ground level
Tactical and Field Operations Technologies
- Innovative proposals for the use of insects for security applications

- Technologies for detecting air pockets for rapid search and rescue missions in collapsed structures
Detection and sensing technologies
- Portable solution to absorb toxic gases in enclosed environments

- Technologies for detecting organic materials using NDT (Non-destructive testing) methods through concrete or different soil types

- RF-photonics applications in the millimeter wave and terahertz bands (sources, receivers, processors, etc.)
Power electronics and efficiency improvements
- Miniaturization and efficiency innovations for power electronics (e.g., capacitors, converters, thermal management systems)
Software, data analysis, and cybersecurity
- 2FA (Two-factor authentication) solution for mobile computing devices in a disconnected state (Stand-alone)

- Solutions for deobfuscating of code in mobile applications

- Analysis and processing of audio files in a local environment
Materials science and engineering
- Techniques for the control of spectral broadening via coating or paint base surface modification

- Utilization of building debris as raw material for deployable engineering applications in conflict zones/earthquake or disaster site

- Solution for production of blast material using components available in an urban/field environment
Construction tech
- Integration of technical specs into BIM models to auto-generate execution-ready bills of quantities

- Col. (Res) David Rokach, Managing Partner SOSA HLSDavid leads the SOSA HLS open innovation programs and accelerators for international defense companies and the Israeli Ministry of Defense. With over 30 years of experience, David has served as the Head of the Weapons System Division in the IDF and held key positions including VP at Aeronautics and Senior Security Director at "Peres & Associates," led by Former Israel President Shimon Peres.
