Innovation Centers › The Innovation Center Model
SOSA designs, builds, and operates tailored innovation centers for governments, turning the world's best technologies into operational solutions for your agencies.
A national Innovation Center helps grow a thriving local ecosystem, puts world-class talent on the ground, deploys cutting-edge technology against real operational challenges, and establishes your region in global innovation superiority.
A center brings operational end-users into direct, structured collaboration with the global emerging technology market. Those end-users are whoever owns the problem: government agencies, local corporations, universities, and the operators who run a region's essential services. Around them sit the other two sides of the market, the corporations that buy at scale and the startups building what neither can build alone, and the ecosystem grows out of holding all three in one place.
Each part feeds the next. Mapping tells scouting what to look for, scouting gives testing something worth testing, testing produces the evidence that gets a solution adopted, and the ecosystem work brings the talent and capital that make the next cycle bigger.
01
Map
Operational needs mapping
We work with your agencies and end-users to define and prioritize the operational challenges that emerging technology can solve.
02
Scout
Global technology scouting
We find and validate the most relevant companies and technologies, through our research team and our presence in the world's leading innovation markets.
03
Test
Testing and validation
We run structured validation programs with your end-users, testing technology in real conditions so that adoption decisions rest on evidence.
04
Build
Ecosystem building
We design and run the activity that brings government, industry, academia, and investors around the center, and draws talent and capital toward it.
A center works because groups that rarely operate together are given a reason to meet, and to keep meeting. SOSA is the operator that makes that happen. We run the cycle and answer for what it produces, bringing twelve years of practice and a methodology proven in centers on four continents.
Your government
The agencies, public bodies, and operational end-users who set the challenge and adopt what works.
Your local ecosystem
Startups, entrepreneurs, universities, industry, and investors, growing around the activity the center creates.

In 2025 the New Jersey Economic Development Authority selected SOSA to build and operate NJ BASE, the state's landing pad for international companies entering the US market. It opened in Jersey City the following spring.
NJ BASE will provide international entrepreneurs with the resources, partnerships, and support they need to scale their companies, foster collaboration, and contribute to a stronger and more dynamic innovation economy across the state.

Why SOSA.
All three sides of the market
We operate government centers, build corporate innovation strategy, and run startup expansion programs. A center we build opens with demand already attached, because that demand comes from the other two sides of our own business.
We operate what we design
We take a center from strategy through to daily operations, and we stay to run it. One accountable operator, rather than a plan handed over at the end.
It starts connected
A new center opens into the whole network on day one: the companies we already track, the clients we already work with, and twelve years of operating practice. It does not begin from zero.
