Ultra-low latency FX aggregation and eFX trading platform
Spark Systems builds next-generation eFX trading infrastructure for the institutional foreign exchange market, an ultra-low latency aggregator and trade engine built entirely in-house to close the technology gap between Tier 1 bank market makers and everyone else. The platform aggregates liquidity across primary markets, direct LPs and ECNs via GUI or API, with a proprietary binary messaging protocol, an open architecture CEP engine for plug-and-play algo strategies, real-time risk management built into the trade engine, and a proprietary tick database for analytics. It supports Spot, Forward, NDF and NDF Swap products, and can be white-labelled to a client's own brand. Clients span banks, hedge funds, retail brokers and corporate treasuries. Spark built OCBC's core FX pricing and trading platform (2024) and counts HSBC, Citi and Goldman Sachs among its financial backers alongside its client base. Founded in Singapore in April 2016 by Wong Joo Seng (also co-founder of M-DAQ) and Ye Ting Song (ex-Barclays BARX, ex-Pine River Capital), the company has been named to The Straits Times' list of Singapore's fastest-growing companies multiple times (2022, 2023, 2025) and took a strategic investment from FX broker ATFX in October 2024.
